I have been HIPAA trained and respect the privacy of patients that I see during my training. All patient details are changed to protect confidentiality, and some patients may actually be composites of several patients I have seen. If I have any doubts that someone might be able to figure out the identity of a patient from my stories, I do not write about the patient.
